Photo-worthy Sceneries, Delicious Food & Gentle Moments
🌧 Day 1 – Rainy Dazaifu, Cozy Cafés & Stunning Night Views
We started our trip at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, wrapped in a gentle rain.
The wet stone paths and vermillion bridges looked mystical, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a meaningful visit.
Afterward, we moved to Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station and walked to a charming retro café,
Kohi Bigaku Rengaya.
Their carefully brewed iced coffee was rich and refreshing—
the vintage interior also helped us relax after the rainy walk.
We headed back to Fukuoka City for classic local dishes like Hakata ramen and motsunabe.
Later, we enjoyed shopping and strolling through the lively city streets.
The highlight of the evening was the night view from Fukuoka Tower.
The city lights sparkled beautifully thanks to the fresh air after the rain—
a breathtaking scene to end our first day.
We also passed by some traditional food stalls (yatai),
feeling a nostalgic, timeless atmosphere on our way back.
☀️ Day 2 – Sunny Itoshima: Beaches, Cafés & Totoro-like Forest Paths
The next morning greeted us with a clear blue sky—
perfect for a scenic drive to Itoshima.
Our first stop was a popular beach swing with palm trees,
an ideal spot for fun photos with the sparkling ocean behind us.
Nearby, a cute pink framed door stood like a real-life Doraemon’s “Anywhere Door”—very Instagram-worthy!
🍦 For lunch, we enjoyed fresh seafood bowls near the beach,
then visited the iconic London Bus Café,
where we relaxed with gelato and matcha drinks.
Behind the café are more photo spots with the ocean breeze—
definitely a place to unwind and smile!
🐐 On the drive, we met friendly goats and couldn’t resist stopping to say hello.
Finally, we walked through a magical green tunnel nicknamed
“Totoro Forest” — a peaceful path filled with sunlight filtering through the trees.
It was one of the most memorable moments of the trip.
